55% of municipal waste to be recycled by 2025: this is one of the objectives set by the new European waste legislation and the circular economy. Building on these premises, the conference aims to set priorities for waste management (prevention, reuse, recycling, etc.) and specific targets to be met, for example for urban waste recycling.
The event aims to play a dual role, on the one hand, to provide opportunities for knowledge and understanding of the recycling market and, on the other hand, to connect high-level decision-makers to in-depth discussions, debates and perspectives strategies and solutions available for the material recycling industry. The conference will focus on various aspects of Romanian materials such as ferrous, non-ferrous, paper, plastic, e-waste, tires, glass and other recyclable materials. There will be discussions on government policies that not only affect the import or trade of secondary materials and other recyclable materials in Romania, but also the quality standards and inspection procedures for waste materials.
This event is part of a long series of 8 sector consultations in the eight regions of the Romania, and the results of the conferences and workshops, based on regional consultations and concluding with the European conference, will be the way to shape a strategy to achieve our mission, that by 2030 Romania, will be a circular economy leader in Central and South-Eastern Europe in the circular economy.
