Session 1: Consumer Trends: how their expectations will evolve on materials used in the production process, as well as the reduction, generation and consumption of resources over the next 10 years.

Session 2: Life cycle of the expanded product, especially at the manufacturing stage (eco-design, preventive waste measures, capitalization, etc.).

Session 3:
Combating climate change in the recycling sector and using waste as sustainable resources – examples of good practice.

Session 4: Innovation – the impact of the latest technologies that convert water reduction approaches, recycled materials and factory digitization.

Session 5: Effective measurement, management and reporting of waste.

Session 6: Extended producer responsibility – Manufactured products that the company placed on the market and end-of-life impact of the product.

1. Where do we want Romania to be in 2030 in terms of adopting a circular economy strategy in the waste industry?
2. Where do we want Romania to be in terms of adopting the Agenda 2030?

  2. Identify the key areas for implementing the systemic circular economy across the value chain of the waste industry (production, waste to resources, innovation and investment, others).

  3. Why is there a need for a circular economy strategy in Romania and what is the role of the state in achieving this?

  4. What kind of circular economy do we want to have in Romania by 2030?

  5. What are the trends in the systemic circular economy related to innovation, technology, education, legislation in concern with the economic, social and environmental three pillars, in the world? and in neighboring countries?

  1. How will technological developments influence the national, European and global economies?

  2. Where does Romania stand in economic, social and environmental terms regarding the adoption of the circular economy in 2019? (SWOT analysis, Strengths - Weaknesses)

  3. What advantages and opportunities does Romania have in relation to the adoption of the circular models?

  4. Analysis of Romania's real potential from the point of view of resources from waste and an appreciation of how to value them (Analysis of Romania's resources and capacity to adopt the concept of systemic circular economy in the year 2018, PEST analysis).

  5. What investments and development programs should be implemented in the waste industry in order to facilitate the transition towards a circular economy by 2030?
